The fastest rising form is called soft adventure travel. Soft adventure travel features less physically demanding itineraries in uncommon or remote destinations. There is an emphasis on engaging with each destination through experiential activities—kayaking, hiking, cooking with locals, learning traditional crafting techniques, sightseeing by bicycle to name a few—for a truly immersive trip.
