Avalon Waterways Unveils New “Special Interest” Cruises for 2019

Avalon Waterways reinvents the “special interest” river cruise by offering guests dynamic cruises and inviting them to explore individual hobbies and passions while on vacation.

Remembrance on the River: A series World War II history cruises make a special trip to the 1940s to honour the significant sites of the War and the fallen that fought for freedom. Sailings include: Paris to Normandy WWII Remembrance & History Cruise (May 28 & June 11): Paris to Normandy 75th Anniversary of D-Day WWII Remembrance Cruise (June 4); Grand France 75th Anniversary of D-Day WWII Remembrance Cruise (May 27).

Holiday Joy & Jolly: Travelers will enjoy the jolly atmosphere on their festively decorated Suite Ship as they take in the sights, smells, tastes and local traditions of European Christmas markets, offering 16 European Christmas cruises.

See the World in Red & White on Wine Cruises: On Avalon’s wine cruises, wine lovers unite with renowned winemakers and masters on the vineyards of Europe along the Danube, Rhine, Rhône and Saône. Sailings include: The Blue Danube Discovery for Wine Lovers (April 30 and Oct 29); Burgundy & Provence for Wine Lovers (Oct 14, 28 & Nov 3); Grand France for Wine Lovers (Oct 14, 28 & 29); Rhine & Rhone Revealed for Wine Lovers (Oct 14, 28 & 29).
